Jessica E. & Doug B.60 viewsMusic is so inspirational to me and such an important part of my life that I cannot imagine what would happen if I were born deaf. Singing and dancing is my ultimate passion; so much so that my parents have to scold me all the time to make me stop. But my friends and family support me in all I do and I thank God for that. I have been in multiple choirs since I was a little girl and I absolutely love it. Sometimes If I am having a wretched day, singing or writing my frustrations out is the only way to calm myself down. Although I plan on becoming a writer or nurse, I sincerely hope that as I journey into the world that I will continue to find time to express myself in song and dance.

My name is Doug Brown. I am 17 years old and this is my second year in choir. I am very excited to be selected for choir member of the month and I thank choir council for selecting me! I love choir because I get to sing with many of my friends and music is a fun thing for me. My best pal Alan Blauvelt and I are quite the duo when it comes to the bass section! Some of my hobbies include listening to various forms of music and playing various forms of music, including in my band Roundhouse Rampage. I like to read, study history, and music history. The thing I enjoy most about choir is getting to finish my school day by singing!
